We work with people who are going places.

At the intersection of choice and change is growth. And before you can make a confident turn in any direction, there will be confusion and moments of feeling overwhelmed balanced by aha moments of discovery.

At The Turn, we know being a leader can feel lonely. You’re blazing trails, then putting out fires. Rewarded for your efforts, but exhausted by them too. It doesn’t have to be that way. Let us join the conversation and put you on the right path.

I’m Yohanan, the head navigator at The Turn.

I want to be at the crossroads with key leaders at their tipping point of change.

With intention and humor, I help illuminate the unknown in ways that tap into unleashed potential. As a quick-thinking live facilitator, I foster effective communication especially between cross-cultural teams. I relish change and helping my clients navigate through it and its aftermath.

Yohanan’s 20-plus years of leadership development facilitation bridge corporate, not-for-profit, and faith-based organizations around the globe. One position required sole responsibility for hundreds of staff members in dozens of countries simultaneously as its organizational leader.

He earned a BA in Interpersonal Communication from Western Washington University and an MA in Intercultural Studies from Wheaton College with an emphasis on leadership development.

When not departing the Pacific Northwest for the great unknown or cruising in Miles, the family van, Yohanan enjoys a daily kayak from the home he shares with his writer wife, adorable son and daughter and their new pup, Cosmo.

“Energy, clarity, and engagement, are all words that come to mind when I think of Yohanan. He brings his soul, his whole self into his work, and makes his clients feel known, seen, and heard.”

—Mallory MacDonald, Founder of Maxwell Creative

Fueled by setting.

Do you love to sit by a fire and chat over a glass of single malt? Or is getting out in the wild to explore a new trail or body of water more your style? At The Turn, we meet you in the environment that most resonates with you, and develop a strategy for our sessions from that setting.

It’s a different kind of comfort zone: one that can transport you into zones of adventure, discovery, and growth. This can be done via a kayak tour, a mini road trip, an offsite at a strategically selected coffee shop or restaurant, or through thoughtful video conferences.

Yohanan recommends two travel adventures, plucked from his long list of global excursions. Three days in the Pacific Northwest and a highlights tour of Budapest—both tours with all you need to know to stay caffeinated, full, and entertained while visiting.
